On That Day

This is a poem for those who have lost loved ones. Perhaps you've lost them in spirit even though they're still in the physical, or if they've passed on. Either way, if you feel in need of comfort, this is the poem for you. Enjoy.

Do not cry for me on that day,

You should know I didn't pass away.

I'm everywhere, here and there,

Hiding in the cool summer air.

Remember all the times that we had

That were angry, happy and sad.

All of you were there for me,

Helping me cross the seven seas.

I am the reason you're all here.

The solemn mourning in the air.

Faces with a sad kind of happiness,

Tears fall with a happy kind of sadness.

As all of you should know,

My optimism always flows

Though it's hard to see at times,

We will all meet again, sometime.

Just remember that I'll be watching you,

From up above, the sky so blue.

So, if you're missing me, look up to the sky

And I'll smile to say that it's never goodbye.
